1. Kurt’s father donald is irish by descent, and the name Cobain is a corruption of the irish Coburn.
2. Kurt’s great uncle was the operatic balladeer Dale Arden. He had a semi-successful career in the 80s and used to hang out with Jay Silverheels, the actor who played Tonto in the Lone ranger.
3. The first instrument Kurt learnt to play was the bass drum, which he recieved as a present from his Aunt Mary when he was seven.
4. As young as the age of three, Kurt decided that he hated police officers. He would chant malicious rhymes at them in the street, and soon learned how to flip them the bird. Read the rest of this entry »
